Handcrafted in Jingdezhen, the Chinese capital of porcelain, this magnificent vase is made in a ‘winter melon’ shape that was popular during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Decorated in vibrant shades of pink, brown, green and yellow depicting two meadowlarks resting on a branch with peony flowers. The vase is made with delicate and thin translucent porcelain on which the artist used a special under glazing technique stemming back from the late Han Dynasty.
