About

The Selendang is traditionally worn by the Malay lady for ceremony and celebration. Because of the intricate qualities of special selendang pieces, most Malay ladies will treat beautifully made selendang pieces as heirlooms, passing it down from mother to daughter. This piece was handwoven using the most purist of Sarawak songket weaving techniques using fine filament silk and Lurex metallic threads.
